Color Palette 2018
Posted on May 10th, 2018

Aberdeen’s pre-approved exterior color palette has been reviewed and one new color selection has been added, giving homeowners forty-six color schemes from which to choose. Additional default door colors have also been added. You can view the pre-approved color palette spreadsheet by clicking here.

Color schemes must be selected as a unit; combining of colors from different schemes is not permitted. Prior approval MUST be obtained before painting exterior of home. Click here to read more about this issue.
Suggested Maintenance Projects:
Posted on May 10th, 2018
  1. Lawn/landscape: Cooler temperatures mean that weeds in your lawn will turn brown. That makes it the perfect time to remove weeds and weedy patches. You can either resod larger areas, place sod plugs in smaller areas, or expand landscape designs to cover these areas.
  2. Home exterior: Cooler, dryer weather means it’s the perfect time to repaint the exterior of your home. You can seal cracks in the stucco, pressure wash stains from the exterior, and repaint from our pre-approved paint list.

Remember that all outdoor alterations require approval from the HOA prior to beginning any project. Complete an “Alteration Application” form, found here on our website, and send it with the necessary items to McNeil Management. You will be notified by mail when your request has been approved.

Keep Your Family and Property Safe
Posted on Nov 22nd, 2017

No matter what time of year it is, remember to keep your family and your property safe from burglars.

  • Never leave car doors unlocked or valuables in view.
  • Keep garage doors and all exterior doors locked, even when you’re home.
  • Close blinds/curtains to keep burglars from peeking inside to see what items you have to steal.
  • Use exterior lighting at night, and consider car alarms and security cameras for added protection.

Using Your Garage for Storage May Not Be a Great Idea
Posted on Nov 22nd, 2017

Approximately 2/3 of homeowners use their garage to store personal items, not vehicles. Even though it’s convenient and “free” compared to a storage unit, there are reasons why you shouldn’t use your garage for storage: http://bit.ly/2iCVBmH

  1. Climate Control - whatever you keep in the garage gets exposed to the highest and lowest temperatures and humidity. That makes your items susceptible to warping, cracking, mold, and mildew.
  2. Security - self-storage facilities tend to be much safer than personal garages. If a thief gets into your garage, he’s just one door away from your home and family.
  3. Access - storage facilities are everywhere these days, many with extended hours. Do you really need instant access to everything in your garage?
